FINDING A MONEY MENTOR
A money mentor is someone who can help you find and keep money. Nearly everyone needs a money mentor – someone who can advise you about your earning potential in various different ways of making money.
I am not talking about “Get rich quick” schemes that can be found a dime-a-dozen on the Internet. I am talking about good programs that lead you in a step-by-step process towards success.
I have already recommended that you do a little self-testing to see what you are looking for in a mentor. You need to take the time whether you are looking for a money mentor or any other type of mentor.
In preparation for selecting what kind of money mentor you want, you need to determine what your options are. For example, do you want free help or are you willing to pay for the help you receive. This is a major consideration. Some money mentors will offer you both types of mentoring. That is ample free advice mixed with more extensive advice you can purchase.
You will also need to determine how much time you are willing to put into the money mentor process. If you are working full time, you will have a lot less time available to spend with your money mentor in learning new processes or doing projects.
In addition to the time and cost factors in your money mentor experience there is the question of style. Some money mentors are more aggressive and slick than used car salesmen while others are quite mild in their presentation of options and opportunities. While I will offer links to potential money mentors, only you can decide how you may use the skills and services they offer.
For example – lets start out with the Rich Dad’s Coaching site. It has a nice ring to it! This is a mild mannered site that is very low key and comfortable (www.richdadcoaching.com). Your Rich Dad Coach or money mentor will work with you to help you discover your mission, passion and purpose. There is ample free stuff on the site, but after you make some decisions about what you want to do with your money mentor you will have the opportunity to spend money.
The opposite extreme is the “in your face” money mentor found at the Rich Jerk’s website (www.therichjerk.com). Some will consider this site to be nasty. However, if you consider the message, not the method, this site offers the services of a good money mentor. Although I personally dislike the style, I have purchased goods and services from this site because it offers excellent product, in spite of the agressive presentation.
